Cléo Tarashev (2000) holds a master’s degree in life sciences from UCL (University College London). During her studies, she developed a keen interest in science communication. When she observed how difficult it was for scientists to convey their findings during the pandemic, she made science communication her professional focus. After completing her studies and working at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research in Basel, she joined the Dynamics Group in September 2023. She works primarily with the ISREC Foundation (a major private donor to cancer research) to raise awareness of innovative translational research projects supported by the foundation. She comes from an international family and grew up in Basel.
